The client problem
A useful document with unused space
The client wanted a cost-conscious way to connect its invoicing workflow with e-commerce campaigns. A standard invoice closed a transaction but offered little room for a relevant next step.
The insight
Make the invoice a promotional surface
A branded invoice can carry a campaign message and a clear call to action alongside the required billing information, without pretending that the invoice itself creates a sale.

From invoice to destination
Add the promotional layer
A campaign can supply a banner, offer copy, button text and a destination URL. Operators can adjust the design before sending or exporting.
Choose a campaign
Saved campaigns can be selected and reused in the invoice editor, keeping the promotional content connected to its campaign record.
Record the interaction
The invoice CTA uses a campaign link. The API records click events and, where present, an invoice-level click before returning a redirect to the configured destination. This measures link interaction, not a purchase.
Deliver and review
The implementation includes PDF generation, print or download paths, invoice history and email-related controls. These are product capabilities, not evidence of customer campaign results.

The editor capture uses fictional example data. The motion study below illustrates a standard invoice becoming a branded promotional surface; it is not a recording of the editor or evidence of sales.

Engineering & delivery
A connected interface and tracking path
The React/Vite editor manages invoice and campaign presentation. An Express API with Prisma stores campaigns and click events, constructs tracked CTA links and redirects valid destinations. A separate Python invoice service generates PDF output.
